Nearly every fisherman (20 pros and 20 co-anglers) who came onstage during Saturday’s semifinal round of the FLW Tour event on Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley told the same story: The lakes are packed with bass.
The lakes didn’t give up their treasures easily Saturday. The heaviest pro sack was 16-1 and the best co-angler catch was a 12-14 limit. Blame that on the weather, which featured plenty of wind and rain.
Leader Ramie Colson, Jr., stumbled but didn’t all. Colson brought two fish to the weigh-in but his 7-1 sack (and his 6 pound 13 ounce lead after Day 2) kept him kept him on top going into Sunday’s final round.
Colson has a three-day total of 51-12. Jay Yelas is in second place with 50-8.
