Spent a few minutes on Kentucky Lake with Scott Patton and Tim Tipton last week. Patton guides on the lake when he isn’t pursuing tournament bass.
The largemouth were scattered and fishing was only fair. Patton (left, with one of the few catches of the day) expects that to soon change. He says the bass are on the move from deep-water ledge structure into the lake’s numerous shallow bays, where baitfish are plentiful.
“After a few days for things to stabilize,” Patton said, ” fishing should be terrific.”
