For no reason whatsoever aside from I think it will be fun I’m keeping track of how many different species of fish I catch on a fly this year. The only self-imposed stipulation: Fish must be legal size where I am fishing (example, a 9-inch crappie from Kentucky Lake won’t count, the minimum legal size is 10 inches).
Locals will be fairly easy. I can already count a rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill and white bass. I hope to add a smallmouth bass tomorrow while fishing Elkhorn Creek.
