QDMA’s Derby City Branch to host Food Plot Demo

The Derby City (Louisville, Ky.) Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association www.derbycityqdma.com will host a food plot seminar and demonstration Saturday, April 10, at the LaGrange Community Center, 307 W. Jefferson St. in LaGrange, Ky.

The program begins 9 a.m. Eastern time. Admission is $10. Part of the program will include a field demonstration. Wear your field work clothes.

The program will include plot preparation, weed control, seed types, plot protection, suggested equipment, recommended planting times and use of native grasses.

Ryan Foster, chief wildlife biologist for Tecomate Wildlife, will conduct the seminar and in-the-field demonstrations.
